The "restoration" fetched a $100 million price tag, which included the conversion of many rooms from window-unit ai-conditioning to centralized air. The Sunset Lounge was also added as well as the Polo Lounge. Many agree that the face lift, like the Sistine Chapel's own restoration, truly brought the original grandeur of the hotel back to the present day.
