The last time I went to Adirondack was in the summer, when everyone else was still holed up in downtown New York or slathering sunscreens in the nude at the Miami Beach. I'm a heights person, so I pick the safest mountains and hills to hike in mid-spring until early summer. Adirondack mountains is a hit among our group of mountain climbers. We can afford lots of things, including a stay at the motel Cascade Inn for several days or weeks.

 At Adirondack, you got two nice mountains and one great motel. No, I'm definitely not alluding to buxom ladies and some action up there, but of the Whiteface Mountain, Mt. Van Hoevenberg and Cascade Inn. These places are extremely special, as they transform from moist, luscious green in the summer to chilly white in winter. Ski jumpers frequent Mt. Van Hoevenberg, and I tell you this is where exactly you could spot the buxom beauties as well as the Olympic skiers camouflaged in thick minks and hot spandex.

At the end of the day, there's Cascade Inn where the incredible sights, sounds, tastes and smells (Adirondack resto) are major bonuses. You got the nice double-bed rooms with thermostats, cable TV, and baths. Down at the resto, you could hang around for steak or an Italian dish. I hear they also offer golf packages that also include lodging and breakfast. This motel is absolutely smashing. When I go on a good hiking expedition early in the morning, I could see a great view of sparkling Lake Placid, which is one reason I was at Adirondacks in the first place.

I love the Florida beach. Breathtaking and extremely relaxing views are what I like most in its clear blue ocean. "Blue Waters Motel" is one of the superb motel-resorts that I have checked into.

 I was watching Bridges Jones's Diary: The Edge Of Reason last night and there was this scene where Renee Zellweger's character was caught with cocaine in the airport when she went for an Asian beach vacation. She had no idea about the illegal drugs but she got detained for several days. It was very alarming for me since I travel a lot. Anybody can just slip it in your pocket or in your bag without you noticing it you'll be spending your vacation in a cell block.
You should always look after you things when you travel. Pack your luggage yourself and make sure it is locked and never leave it unattended. Also keep an eye on your children’s backpacks, toys and stuffed animals because someone could slip drugs inside without you knowing. Do not carry parcels, gifts, or luggage for other people across borders or through customs no matter what happens. Choose your traveling companions carefully because if they turn out to be carrying, using, or selling illegal drugs, you could be charged by association. Do not ever cross a border with a hitchhiker or as a hitchhiker. It pays to ask local authorities, a travel agent, or hotel staff which areas are unsafe. You could be attacked or arrested if dealers are nearby and it’s assumed you are carrying or selling drugs, and always have an updated map with you.

 Are you going on a vacation out in the beach or just some place where you can relax and unwind? What are the things you should bear in mind without having to worry too much? Well Just follow this simple steps because the out-of-towns doesn't have to be such a burden.
Just carry minimum luggage, then label each piece of luggage with your name and address. Be sure your luggage can be locked and keep them close to you while waiting. Hold your purse under your arm and carry your wallet in an inside coat or front trouser pocket. Do not appear vulnerable or lost. Just walk with a purpose and stay alert to what's happening around you. Leave your social security and credit/debit cards at home. If you are traveling to a foreign country, photocopy all documents, including passport, credit cards and tickets, before leaving home and store copies in a hotel safe. Familiarize yourself with the location of hotel exits. You can ask the hotel about the safety of the neighborhood and which areas to avoid and the bellman for directions and costs before taking a cab. When we travel for either business or pleasure, there are times when we have to stay overnight in a motel. You will be sleeping at night on a foreign room, that's why it is very much important that you check first the security facilities of your chosen motel. A very expensive room does not tantamount to a good security. Consider some of these tips when you spend a night in a motel.
Higher rooms and those not adjacent to fire stairs are much safer from room invaders due to the room's difficulty of access to unwanted visitors. Choose room doors made of solid-core wood or metal, has self-closing and self-locking features, and a wide-angle peephole to see who's knocking before you open it. Be aware of other entry point like windows and sliding doors and make sure they are very secure, especially if they lead to a balcony where someone can climb and enter your room.
For women traveling alone or with small children, always make sure that you are escorted a car valet service in the parking lot, and by a bellman to your room. Tip them for their effort, though. Placing a Do-Not-Disturb sign even when you're out can deter room burglars. Leaving the TV or radio on loud enough for someone to hear or just one light will make the room look occupied. Remember, security should not be a compromise.

 I have always been fascinated by New Zealand. For me, it is an ideal romantic honeymoon destination. This is so, because the country is less populated, very quiet, and peaceful. I have never been to New Zealand, but it is always my number one dream destination in the near future. I even thought of spending the rest of my life there someday.

Andy's Motel, located in 8101 Surf Drive,Panama City Beach, FL looked like a decent place to crash for the night. After all, it looked like a decent enough place on the net, right?
Well, no. The room I got was different from what I saw on the screen. The one I saw online was nice. This room...Well, not so nice. A lot of rust spots abound, and the elevator smelled...funny. The pool wasn't as big as I expected, and their policy of paying a non-refundable one-night deposit up front just smacks of taking poor shmucks for a ride.
This motel is very disappointing. It might be good enough for some frat boys out for a vacation, but not for much else. Not a place to go to for family accomodations. Andy's Motel staff had better learn truth in advertising soon.

Why do motels get such a bad rap?
Is it because Norman Bates ran one? Or that a motel is a run-down, flea-bitten hellhole frequented by the seedy underbelly of society? You can thank Hollywood for that image.
Admittedly, there are a few dilapidated motels out there, and they could use a facelift with a wrecking ball. But that's no reason to give all of them a bad rap. I've stayed in motels before, and they aren't bad at all. In fact, some could give hotels a run for their money.
So whenever you're traveling cross-country...give these motor ho tels a chance. I think you'll be plesantly surprised.
