I'm sure everybody would like to spend their vacation in one of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' love nests, as well as experience the same romantic honeymoon vacation in one of Mexico's beautiful vacation destination. Well, if you are a showbiz gal and you want to have the perfect honeymoon spot for you and your beau, then Maroma resort and Spa is the place you'd like to try and indulge in.
Located in more than 20 acres of jungle reserve in Mexico, Maroma resort and Spa's exquisite white sand beach that overlooks the Caribbean Sea is basically what attracted Cruise and Holmes to stay in such a refined and luxurious resort. Courteous and well attentive staff will welcome you with a Maroma margarita cocktail and fresh towels as they show you to your excellent suite that overlooks the breathtaking sea. The said resort has more than 50 rooms including suites, that have large and sunken bathtub, airconditioning, hammock, terrace, and also other suite and room amenities. On the other hand, you may also want to try out the resort's Mayan Spa and health bar, which were said to be tried and enjoyed by Holmes and Cruise. Moreover, Maroma has excellent facilities for leisure like tennis courts and exotic water activities like sport fishing, reef diving, kayaking, and on foot or bicycle jungle trekking.

Aside from being a popular tourist destination, Barbados was hailed by the United Nations of having one of the highest standards of living and literacy rates in the world. The island is located in the eastern part of the Caribbean Sea, western section of the Atlantic Ocean. Many tourists have a lot to look forward to in Barbados namely the jewelry stores, festivals, sightseeing tours, wildlife preserves, as well as a variety of nightlife selections. Activities such as golf, scuba diving, helicopter rides, as well as cave exploration are awaiting the more adventurous or outdoorsy types.
The Treasure Beach Hotel is situated on the exclusive west coast of Barbados in glorious, tropical gardens at the edge of a turquoise sea. The suites, dining room, and bar facilities are built in a horseshoe shape clustered around a freshwater swimming pool and small tropical gardens, creating an intimate environment. It is a privately-owned hotel with just 29 suites, but still ensures friendly and attentive service. All suites have an air-conditioned bedroom with ceiling fan, bathroom with hair dryer, tub and separate shower. There's a well stocked bar with fridge, toaster and kettle. The restaurant is a culinary delight, blending International and Caribbean cuisine.

Trinidad and Tobago is a country in the southern Caribbean Sea composed of two main islands and other 21 smaller islands. Trinidad is larger and more populated that Tobago. Trinidad and Tobago were first settled at least 7,000 years ago, and had contact with Europe, particularly Spain, in the 1800s. Today, the country is known for producing petroleum, petrochemicals, and natural gas and as a favorite tourist destination in the Caribbean.
Trinidad has gorgeous, sandy beaches along the North Coast that provide the perfect atmosphere for seclusion, rest, and recreation. The northern interior has densely forested peaks excellent for hiking trails framed by canopies of lush, indigenous rain forest, while the low, predominantly agricultural plains of Central Trinidad strike a fascinating contrast. The East Coast is home to protected wetlands and miles of beach frontage lined by groves of coconut palms, known to locals as the 'Cocal'. The 'Industrial Capital' is a hilly, friendly base from which to explore the island's modern oil towns, picturesque fishing villages and calm, deserted beaches.
Tobago is the more serene and is home to the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemisphere. This strip of elongated land abounds with natural allure - palm-lined beaches, lush rain forests and pristine coral reefs teeming with rich marine life. The contrasts of rolling hills against wave-beaten shores create a stunning backdrop for the island's unequalled beauty. The South Coast (Windward) is lined with vibrant fishing villages, while the North Coast (Leeward) provides Tobago with some of its finest beaches.

When I think about a trip to the Caribbean I have but one destination in mind, and that is Cuba. It's capital, Havana, is such a lovely city filled with colonial elegance. Cuba also has the best beaches in the Caribbean.
There are a lot of Spanish colonial architecture all over the City of Havana. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1982 because it is one of the oldest settlements in the America’s and it is called the La Habana. There are many churches, museums, memorials, and street after street is graced with grand facades, boasting massive wooden doors, barred windows and narrow sidewalks. My favorite place to stay in Havana is the very popular but less expensive Hotel Nacional de Cuba. Room charges range from $120.00 to $210.00 per night. They have a spa and pool for the patron’s enjoyment.
There over 200 beaches in Cuba which are all perfect for basking in the sun, reading a good book under the shadow of an umbrella, or simply taking a catnap. They are equipped with all the right infrastructure to practice a variety of water sports such as sailing, Cuba scuba diving, Cuba sailing, aqua bikes, kayaking and water skiing, with gear provided by a number of nautical centers.

Cartagena, also known as Cartagena de Indias or La Heroica (The Heroic), is a large seaport on the north coast of Colombia. It was named after Cartagena, Spain when Don Pedro de Heredia founded it in 1533. Since then Cartagena continued to be an economic hub as well as a popular tourist destination.
Right after graduation, my football buddies and I went for a few day vacation in Cartagena. We stayed in the Sofitel Santa Clara Hotel which lies at the north end of the town. Access is controlled by a narrow barred gate where behind stands a hard-faced security guard and his German shepherd. The service and facilities are excellent and the rooms are very clean and pretty, old colonial meets modern traveler type. It was built in an old convent, which brings a very fancy, colonial, and incredibly luxurious ambiance. There are two modes of decor, one is the Republican era comprising the main hotel lobby, and the Colonial style sets the tone in the pool and room area.
Although very expensive, I should say the stay was all worth it. The restaurants have really good food, particularly the exquisite seafood dishes, and they have a wide variety of fruit juices. The breakfast is in buffet-style, and the chef will cook you an omelet to order and bring it to your table when it's ready. One of my favorite spot was the massage parlor, which charge very cheap for their soothing and all-relaxing massage perfect after walking for long hours to enjoy the beauty of the place.

Comprised by three islands namely the Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman, the Caymans were discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1503 and settled by the British in 1655. They still retain much of the British heritage as they are a British Crown Colony complete with a Royal Governor who represents Britain's monarch as Head of State. If you are arriving by cruise ship, there is a mini-bus tour that costs $20.
Five years ago I was fortunate to join my boss and a small team on a trip to the Cayman Islands. We stayed in the Discovery Point Club where the accommodation was world-class. It has all beachfront 1/2 bedroom condos and superior accommodation on the famous Seven Mile Beach. Plus full kitchen, living/dining room and a screened porch overlooking the beach. There are also the freshwater pool, jacuzzi, and two tennis courts.
For a more heavenly experience, I suggest you visit the Turtle Farm, which is a combination zoo/sanctuary/breeding farm for the endangered green sea turtle. Also check out the Conch House, a cottage with 2,000 of these pink shells and resembling a gingerbread house lost in the tropics. For truly tasty Caribbean dining, try grilled fresh-caught fish in a spicy Cayman Island gravy with rice and beans cooked in coconut milk.

I visited the Philippines twice. The first was in 2000 for a business trip with one of the clients of the company I worked for. The second time was late last year, but this time it was not for any business commitment or anything but for some leisure. My first glimpse of Palawan, the Philippines last frontier, I stood still with admiration as I boarded off a chartered jet from Manila. A tour guide took me to the resort where I was to stay for 3 nights.
Club Noah Isabelle was located in Apulit Island. The resort was the most perfect place for me to unwind. My first night was filled with enchanting memories of a place I only thought that I'd see in my dreams. The resort's accommodation was back-to-basics. No TV, no radio, no telephone, no Internet -- exactly what I needed. I stayed in a water cabaña, my very own private niche. It looks like a pretty small hut but it's a lot better in the inside. The cabaña is located right above the shore water which will allowed total relaxation and peace especially at night.
Apart from this one-of-a-kind five star accommodation, the resort had an array of activities for every kind of traveler. You can go snorkeling, scuba diving, water skiing or just simply swim its blue waters. They also offer delicious servings of fresh seafood and other gourmet dishes. But the best thing about my stay in Club Noah is the feeling of being one with nature.

It's everybody's dream to have an island all to himself. This used to be possible only if you were a billionaire who was able to afford one (if there was any island being sold, that is).
There is an opportunity now to have an island all to yourself. The Guana Island in the British Virgin Islands can be rented out. This is a dream vacation spot because of the many surprises in this island and because of the many adventures one can have. Aside from the cottage accommodations in the island and the numerous white sand beaches, one can also enjoy the hiking and walking trails that could be a way for one to experience the beauty of the Guana Island.
The cottages here are completely furnished to provide comfort for travelers. One can entertain himself more with spa or gourmet dining, playing water sports or tennis in the two courts provided, or by just reading comfortably in the library in this island.
This place is really a haven for those who would want to spend their vacations in places that are far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Located in Inverness-shire, Scotland, the Barratt Dalfaber Golf and Country Club is set in acres of woodland and near the banks of the River Spey. With the dramatic backdrop of the Cairngorms, the resort's 9-hole golf course may not be a full one, but you'll be too busy having your breath taken away by the mysterious beauty of the surrounding areas to notice.
Other resort facilities include an indoor swimming pool, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, badminton and a gymnasium. Selected units have a cozy fireplace to snuggle up during the cold nights, and there are plenty of them here.

Staying in a cottage when on vacation is always a treat, with the privacy and solitude such isolation brings, and the fact that you have at least that accommodation to yourselves, being able to take your own sweet time in getting up or in exploring your surroundings is a perk a hotel room can't bring.
But in a South African resort, waking up in the middle of a game reserve only makes the stay more special. The Mabula Game Reserve, located in Warmbaths, South Africa, is a privately-owned game reserve that features the wild animals roaming around in its wide open spaces. Guests share the area with lions, leopards, rhinos and many other magnificent game and the cottages are equipped with a full kitchen, baths and amenities worthy of any good hotel.
The Mabula Game Reserve is a fantastic getaway where guests are as far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life as possible, and have a chance to see for themselves how life in the wild really is.
